Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID) is an annual event recognizing the meetings and business events industry’s role as a catalyst for business collaboration, new investment and the creation of permanent, high-value jobs.
This year we’re celebrating Global Meetings Industry Day a bit differently. Instead of holding our own event, we’re supporting YOUR GMID 2022 programs with a suite of educational and promotional materials:
Advocacy Video: We’re creating a new video to spotlight the latest research, our industry’s readiness to get back to business and a call for continued support for our hardest hit businesses. Succinct and to the point, the content should fit well into any GMID program agenda and format, whether in-person, virtual or hybrid. COMING SOON: The video will be posted on our GMID 2022 landing page, ready for download, prior to April 7.
GMID Toolkit: We’re creating a toolkit that can be used by associations and destination marketing organizations to promote Global Meetings Industry Day and our industry’s key advocacy issues:
Amplify Your GMID Event: We will promote links to your GMID event on our website, in our newsletter and on LinkedIn and Twitter. Tell us about your event.
Light Up Blue Challenge: We’re challenging destinations, landmarks, attractions, venues and hotels to #LightUpBlue on April 7, 2022 in support of our industry. Take it to the next level and extend your support through the entire week by lighting in blue April 4–8. Be sure to tag @MtgsMeanBizCA on Twitter when posting your #LightUpBlue photos.
